Daniel likes Truk products. “I have been very pleased with the first California Slideback I bought, I can’t fault the quality and the after sales service has been great and that’s why when I wanted another Slideback I bought another California. In my opinion they are the best Slidebacks on the market. And the latest version is even better, with the new rear facing red LED lights set into the side raves at the back of the body, the box over the control valves and the redesigned rear light pressing. They all work together to make the California look even better than it did”.
NEW SWAN NECK FOR DRS RECOVERY
A new 2.5 tonne capacity Truk Arizona Swan Neck Spectacle Lift, fitted to a 7.5 tonne GVW, Mitsubishi Fuso Canter with crew cab, has gone into service with DRS Recovery, of Newport, on the Isle of Wight.
DRS Recovery are a fast growing recovery company who do recovery work for some of the clubs and are eager to do more. They also have a busy workshop where they service, repair and MOT customer’s vehicles.
DRS have the contract to service and repair vehicles for Isle of Wight County Council, and the new Spectacle Lift will be used to collect vehicles for this contract. It will also increase DRS’s recovery capability.
The new Fuso Swan Neck recently undertook a trip to Riems, in France, to collect a Mitsubishi Shogun. Dale Whitehall, the owner of DRS Recovery, was very pleased with its performance. “Two drivers went and the trip was seven hundred miles in total and we did it from start to finish in twenty four hours. The Fuso Canter never missed a beat, you didn’t know the Shogun was on the back of the Spec Lift plus it had a lot of kit on board. And what’s more the passengers we picked up were comfortable as well. I am really, really, very impressed.”
Dale is also impressed with the 2.5 Tonne Truk Arizona Swan Neck. “It’s very powerful, and is easy to use, which is what I wanted. Many of the competitive systems are only rated at two tonnes or less and I wanted a Swan Neck that was powerful enough to do all I wanted it to do and still have some capacity in reserve.”
Dale also likes the Arizona Body, “It has masses of locker space and Truk have gone to a lot of trouble to make it look attractive as well as practical.”
Truk supplied the complete unit including the Mitsubishi Fuso, and Dale is very happy with them. “I couldn’t be happier it really is a great Spectacle lift, and Truk were a pleasure to deal with.”
